Canon ha anunciado el lanzamiento de la Canon EOS 100D, llamada a ser la réflex más pequeña y ligera de la gama Canon sin renunciar a la calidad fotográfica con un sensor CMOS de 18 Mpix y con procesador Digic 5 es capaz de alcanzar un ISO máximo de 12800.

TOKYO, March 21, 2013—Canon Inc. and Canon Marketing Japan Inc., celebrating in 2013 the 20th anniversary of the introduction of the EOS Kiss series of SLR cameras, launched today in Japan the EOS Kiss X7, the world’s smallest and lightest*1 digital SLR camera equipped with an APS-C-size sensor.
The new Canon EOS Kiss X7 was developed to deliver the same high levels of image quality and autofocus performance users have come to expect from a digital SLR camera while responding to the strong demand for a model that is smaller and lighter in weight. Combining high portability with all the benefits of SLR photography, the Kiss X7 contributes to expanding users’ photographic horizons.
Measuring approximately 116.8 (w) x 90.7 (h) x 69.4 mm (d) and weighing only around 370 grams, the EOS Kiss X7 realizes reductions of approximately 28% in volume and 25% in weight compared with the EOS Kiss X6i, released in June 2012. Despite its compact, lightweight body, made possible through the downsizing of such components as the shutter unit and CMOS package, the diminutive camera’s APS-C-size approximately 18.0-megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC 5 image processor combine for exceptional image quality and a high-speed continuous shooting speed of approximately 4 frames per second. Additionally, offering a maximum standard ISO of 12800*2 (expandable to ISO 25600), the X7 enables the capture of images with reduced noise and image blur, even in low-light conditions and when shooting a moving subject.
When capturing images in Live View mode or shooting movies, the Kiss X7’s newly developed Hybrid CMOS AF II combines high-precision contrast AF and high-speed phase-detection AF, the latter made possible by the camera’s CMOS sensor, to enable high-performance AF across approximately 80% of the image-display area. By offering a larger focus area than the earlier model, users can realize improved focusing performance and compose shots with greater flexibility
When shooting through the viewfinder, the camera’s 9-point AF system ensures that subjects remain in focus even if they move out of the center of the image area. During Live View shooting, Continuous AF keeps subjects in focus prior to snapping the shutter to deliver rapid focusing. Additionally, Movie Servo AF allows continuous autofocus tracking of moving subjects while recording video. When paired with the EF-S18–55mm f/3.5–5.6 IS STM EF-S-series lens, which was also announced today, the camera supports even quieter and smoother Movie Servo AF performance thanks to the lens’s stepping motor.
The EOS Kiss X7 includes three all-new family-oriented scene modes—Kids, Food and Candlelight—which, added to the previous HDR Backlight Control, Night Portrait and Handheld Night Scene, bring the total number of special-scene shooting modes to six. The Kids mode lets users capture blur-free images of even the most active of children while ensuring healthy skin tones. The Food mode makes possible bright, vivid, visually savory images. And the Candlelight mode enables the capture of images that preserve the ambiance of scenes illuminated by candlelight alone, such as the candles on a birthday cake.


The Canon EOS Kiss X7 will go on sale in Japan in late April 2013 at an open price. Canon has set initial production at 200,000 units per month.

Espero que sea la réflex ideal para llevar de viaje y a todos lados... Con un tamaño recogido y poco peso, sería mi cámara ideal para ir en mi bolso todos los días... Dejando las réflex más grandes para los momentos más dedicados a la foto...

Lástima de crisis y de precios... No creo que nos la quieran vender barata...

Empuñadura si que tiene menos, con objetivo a no ser de utilizar uno de óptica fija va a crecer su tamaño, aunque con la tapa del cuerpo si que podría caber en un bolso pequeño teniendo sus respectivos cuidados. De seguro habrán detractores y gente que le guste la nueva cámara.

Tendremos que esperar para verla y probarla

Como futurólogo soy un fracaso, para nada era lo que me esperaba, y sí una renovación de la eos-m... en fin, más dinero en el bolsillo.

Para regalar como kit de iniciacion a las DSLR no esta mal....Estaba pensando en mi hijo que me tiene frito al querer usar mi 7D...

Según las primeras informaciones el precio en kit rondará los 800$ pero lo veo un precio excesivo si está llamada a sustituir la 1100D, aunque este aspecto no está confirmado.
Estamos esperando la nota de prensa de Canon España que como siempre será de las últimas en enviarse horas después de que sus hermanas en decenas de países ya la hayan emitido.

850 Euros me parece muy exagerado....
Mi apuesta (y estaria dispuesto a pagarlo)es de 549 Euros con el viejo 18-55. y 599 Euros con el Nuevo .

Sin haber leído las especificaciones, pienso que la 100d es una idea acertada, no así su precio anticrísis.

La 700D es una tomadura de pelo en su totalidad. Y en esta 100D la tomadura de pelo es su precio (si se confirma que será ese), pero la idea está bien. Le encuentro sentido al lanzamiento de esta 100D, pero ¿la 700D...?
