Updated Information

After the AF mirror Adjustment, including the updated firmware version 1.1.3, the EOS-1D Mark III AF function performed better in our tests than all previous EOS camera models.

Canon strives at all times to continuously improve our products in order to provide our customers with the best performance and value.

We are aware that some customers have raised questions about the performance of the EOS-1D Mark III AF system under certain conditions. We will continue to investigate, and look for opportunities to improve, the performance of the AF system to ensure the satisfaction of all of our customers

Huy, qué tonito más chungo tiene ese mensaje. Eso de que el sistema de autofoco de la Mk III funciona mejor que cualquier modelo de EOS 1D anterior me parece que va a crear polémica. Al menos, Rob Galbraith tiene sus dudas. Supongo que Canon hace una valoración en conjunto de la eficacia del sistema y considera que supera a la Mk II. Pero en tareas muy concretas, Galbraith opina que no y ahí va a estar el lío.

En cualquier caso, parece que es un comunicado orientado a terminar con los rumores y especulaciones surgidos desde que Galbraith filtrase las conversaciones de Canon con grandes cuentas y no parece dar muchas esperanzas a quienes esperaban una nueva campaña de reparaciones/revisiones o un nuevo firmware.

Y, personalmente, me da náuseas ese lenguaje tan correcto, tan artificial, tan de multinacional que tanto abunda.

Qué se lo pregunten a los de las agencias, sobre todo americanos y alemanes que están cubriendo los ultimos acontecimientos deportivos ....

qué comunicado más soso yo esperaba que multiplicaran por 2 la cifra de las "rebates" , unas "superrebates" ,a la altura del nivel del A.F. de la MK III
