Tema: Zeiss Distagon T* 35/2 ZE: déjenme llorar.

yo no llevo mucho con el objetivo pero en ninguna ocasión tuve esos problemas para enfocar, es más, de todos los manuales que tengo es con el que me resulta más fácil. Lo único que no me gusta es el viñeteo que tiene a f2, por lo demás me parece un objetivo excelente.

Aquí en el curre sólo tengo una prueba tonta que hice en navidades con la 5d, no tengo ningúna hecha al infinito.

no se que decirte, si quieres el fin de semana hago pruebas al infinito y las subo. Ahora me es imposible.

A mayores las ACs que tiene son dignas del peor de los objetivos, creo que este objetivo no está a la altura de lo esperado. Supongo que será un problema(defecto) de este en concreto.

no se creo que estoy o muy perdido o este cristalito va a tener que volver a casa.

Este 35 mm. tiene un rendimiento sobresaliente, antes de descartar esta unidad yo comprobaria el ajuste fino de foco con la confirmación que te da la máquina, puede haber desviación y se puede ajustar con los microajustes.

Lo comprobaria a varia distancias confirmando el foco vía live view.

También hay que recordar los límites de distancia de enfoque a plena abertura que tienen todos los objetivos (foto del árbol)

Lo he enviado a Alemania, vía importador. Me han comentado que no es normal, lo verán y sustiuirán si es el caso. Aún me queda la duda de si es problema de la máquina (o del animal que la maneja) pero todo apunta a defecto del objetivo.
El 21 dicen que es una pasada. Te recomiendo que lo compres. Que salga uno mal, no significa que sean malos.

10 días de triste espera, sig!

Hola a todos, tras dos semanas de espera el objetivo está siendo analizado en Zeiss DE.
El caso es que me dicen que ellos lo ven bien. Ahora los peros, me comentan que los usuarios tendemos a "overlifting". A saber qué es eso.
El caso es que me envía de muesta dos imágenes una inf-stop2964 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! hecha en el momento que confirma el enfoque y otra turnback2966 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! en la que tras la confirmación se retrocede un pelín.
La diferencia es obvia, ahora bien... yo creo que cuando confirma es cuando debería clavar el enfoque. ¿o no?. Así y todo, si me paso un pelín con el cierre de diafragma, ¿no debería salir bien igual?.
También me añade que, para quedar seguros podrían cambiar la lente frontal, por si pudiera tener algo, pero eso sería por el módico precio de 140€.
¿Pero si está en garantía?
La verdad es que no sé que pensar, estoy algo desconcertado.
Os pego los últimos mensajes, a ver si se me escapa algo (mi inglés es... mejorable),

I think you should await the appearance of the lens ( with new ffd adjustment) to see if reliable and accurate focusing is possible via view finder screen.
But another problem occurs : We find scratches on the front lens which you can`t see in normal daylight. I`m not sure if they could influence the image quality.
My recommendation is to change the front lens against a new one. The costs for that service would be 142,- Euro (net price). After that the lens would be like brand new.

I apologice for any inconvenience, you have worked a lot in this issue.

Accordign your opinon, may be that the camera is bad?

Responding your questions, I had changed the standar focusing screen for another (Eg-D) for a lot of time. I haven't tested with the normal focusing screen.
( I remark that I had changed the configuration in the camera menu).


If the problem is about the body and the comunication/configuration with the lens, I cant to check it and setup the microfocus adjustement.

If the problem persist I think that I'll have to send the body to the canon support to check the camera. It can be a problem with the sensor, prism, mirrror...

I would like to send you one question about thisimage:

She is shoted at f6.3 , 1/400 and iso 100.
With the DOF at the 35mm,all of the objects between 3m and infinity must be sharp.
What do you think?

Hi Alfonso,
we`ve checked the lens and think it is a matter of the flange focal distance. As far as your problem with infinity is concerened we make a new adjustment so that the infinity stop will be more reliable. For a 100 % solution we would need your camera because every body has slight tolerances regarding flange focal distance too.
But with our three Canon bodies it works quite well now.
This is what most customers forget when they recognize that they have to turn the range setting ring back a little bit to improve the lens performance at infinity. If there is an overlifting nothing in the image becomes sharp. ( Send you two examples)
Your other image samples with the comparison of Distagon T* 2/35 and the canon lenses are a little bit misleading and unfair because of two facts :
1. The image with Distagon is completely defocused
2. The 50mm and 100mm are in focus an show all the details in a closer view
I have tried the lens at different distances and it is working quite well. Don`t know if there is a problem with a) focusing screen b) autofocus / distance conformation c ) AF microadjustment.
Results with the LiveView and 10x magnification are really excellent. With that focusing help as the ultimate tool there is no reason for complaining.
Last thing are the colour aberrations: This is the longitudinal colour aberration. It only happens in out of focus areas and is normal. Behind the best focus bright contrast edges becomes green/ cyan and in front it becomes purple.
Every high speed lens shows that. You can only avoid it by stopping down a little bit.
Here are the images . One is taken with infinity stop ( in the original condition) and the other with a slight turn back ( original condition too). You can see a massive improvement.

Bueno, he estado leyendo y viendo las fotos (en flicker no se ve gran diferencia de una a otra, y ninguna es especialmente nitida). Da la sensación que le han hecho un ajuste sobre el infinito,no? o eso me parece entender. Lo que está claro que las pequeñas rayaduras que pueda tener no afectan al funcionamiento del objetivo, mas si no se ven. En cuanto al overlifting, que quiere decir que el anillo de enfoque no puede estar en el tope del final, que hay llevarselo un poco para que cuando haces una foto al infinito salga todo nítido??
Haz una prueba cuando lo tengas y a ver como se comporta, espero que bien.
Este fin de semana recojo un 35 mm, espero poder subir fotos pronto.

Es posible que me haya "aburguesado" con tanto automatismo pero 25 años disparando con todo tipo de cámaras y ópticas... no creo que se me hayan olvidado.

Hoy al llegar a casa leo un mensaje en el que me dicen que esté o no el objetivo en garantía Zeiss no se responsabiliza por errores de terceros!!!!.
Increible, vamos a ver, si yo considero que hay un problema con algo que compro lo máximo que tendría que hacer es hablar con quien me vende el producto (esto llo dice la ley de garantías). Sin embargo llevo dos semanas peleando con el importador, la firma dando todo tipo de explicaciones y ahora aún me dicen que ... quien va a pagar esto.
No sé, hay algo que se me escapa
