En ProLost.com han publicado un par de Posts, Rumores, y muchos comentarios.
Esto junto a una serie de eventos (NAB 2009, etc) y otras publicaciones impulsó aún más la Petición Mundial a Canon Inc. comenzada en Marzo:

Fotógrafos, Videógrafos e Incluso profesionales de grandes Productoras de Cine han demostrado enorme interés mediante diversas formas (la petición es sólo una de tantas)
Qué más espera Canon?
Qué más podría pedir una compañía al lanzar una Réflex Digital?
Pero si no escuchan y actúan acorde, la gran oportunidad que tienen ahora al ser la única compañía con Réflex Digital Full Frame Sensor y Full HD, va a disminuir con la competencia que viene detrás, y fuerte.
Seguimos aguardando... y mientras tanto demostramos el interés al máximo posible.
- Una cosa es cierta: si Canon NO actúa en relación al Control Manual Completo en Vídeo, es seguro que la competencia lo hará, y entonces Canon perderá esta gran ventaja que tiene en este momento (y la lealtad y credibilidad de muchos clientes, por cierto)

"OF COURSE, IF Canon do not "listen" to thousands of customers requesting a Firmware Update that can be implemented with NO hardware change, NO big cost to Canon, then, they will be in serious risks of loosing lot of customers.
Not to mention the credibility on Canon statements and loyalty of so many customers who invested so much money without receiving not even a professional and clear answer about this matter, like every customer deserves.
The EOS 5D Mark II (already been shown a lot at NAB 2009) is not a toy, not an entry level camera, it is aimed to serious amateurs and Professionals.
Something like a Firmware Update should NOT be ignored by such a big company like Canon.

- That answer is one of those they are telling to customers inquiries since some time ago.
The difference between a "camcorder" and 5D Mark II is huge. In ANY way, technical and price. In both ways too. Cons and Pros for both.
There is no possible comparison between a small sensor camcorder and a Full Frame sensor camera capable of gathering low light such as the 5D Mark II.
CANON SHOULD REALIZE that their LOYAL CUSTOMERS DESERVE RESPECT AS WELL AS THE COMPANY DOES.
And Canon is NOT showing that when:
1 - Promoting the "new Full HD capability" and writing INACCURATE WHITE PAPER STATEMENTS (http://www.freshdv.com/2009/04/nab-2009-dslr-3d.html#comment-309329) that CONFUSED so many customers before purchasing the camera
2 - Giving anwsers like they have been given to customers inquiries (see link above too)
3 - Showing 5D Mark II at NAB 2009 TOGHETHER with PROFESSIONAL HD lenses and broadcasting devices aimed to Professional use
4 - Having Professional Manufacturers (Zacuto, Redrock, etc.) designing and selling gear to use the 5D Mark II professionally for video tasks, while it does NOT allow Professional Control of its video features
5 - Keeping ALL customers WITHOUT any certain idea of what is going to happen regarding THOUSANDS of requests for Full Manual Control in video mode
6 - ALL the camera needs is a FIRMWARE UPDATE (http://www.petitiononline.com/5dmark2/petition.html), perfectly possible with NO hardware change required, with NO overall redesign, with NO big cost to Canon
Canon Inc. whole company has MILLIONS of customers.
Canon Inc. CAMERA DIVISION has HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of customers all around the world.
- IS that a PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE of such a Huge, Renowned and Professional Company?
Photographers, Videographers and even Filmmakers are interested in the camera and have requested FULL Manual Control for Video on 5D Mark II
WHAT MORE one company could ask when releasing a DSLR???
So far they are the only company with a full frame DSLR with Full HD Video.
BUT that WILL NOT LAST FOREVER... If they do not take advantage over the competition right now, and give what the customers are requesting, the competition WILL do, and the GREAT OPPORTUNITY Canon have at this very moment of being steps ahead will be much less or even lost.
CUSTOMERS LOYALTY is being tested too, indeed, and NOTHING can guarantee that customers will keep it IF the Manufacturer DOES NOT seem to TAKE CARE about so many requests.
