Parece ser que a partir del 18 de abril lanzan la segunda actualización del firmware para la EOS R

The new firmware for EOS R (version 1.2.0) will be available on Canon website from the middle of April 2019.

Firmware version 1.2.0 incorporates the following enhancements and fixes.

Enhancements:


Eye-detection AF

Supports Servo AF when shooting still images.
Now available when shooting movies regardless of “Movie Servo AF” setting.


Small AF Frame Size

Supports Servo AF when shooting still images.
Now available when shooting movies regardless of “Movie Servo AF” setting.



Fixes:


Under certain conditions, the electronic level displayed in the electronic viewfinder did not display properly.
Under certain conditions information displayed in the electronic viewfinder was not properly rotated.
Under certain conditions updating the firmware for the wireless file transmitter, WFT-E7 was not possible.

Eso lo veo más complicado. ¿Te refieres al bloqueo de imagen en modo ráfaga? Eso lo solucionarán con un modelo superior, como Sony lo hace en la A9.

Bueno, han tenido tiempo a depurar un poco más el firmware, esperemos a ver que hace, no tires la toalla antes de tiempo.
De momento seguimiento de ojo con seguimiento y disparo en ráfaga, igual con obturador electrónico también.

Buenas noticias! por que he detectado que en algunas fotos me enfoca al ojo más lejano, aunque en muy pocas, pero en ninguna sony me había sucedido.
De todas maneras la mejora que venga la veo bien, pero si me la dejan tal cual me va muy bien también.

Buenas noticias! por que he detectado que en algunas fotos me enfoca al ojo más lejano, aunque en muy pocas, pero en ninguna sony me había sucedido.
De todas maneras la mejora que venga la veo bien, pero si me la dejan tal cual me va muy bien también.

Yo pienso que deberia incluirse en este nuevo firmware algunas novedades mas , como focus stacking ; creo que la Canon RP lo lleva, o eliminar el recorte al grabar en 4k

Aunque Canon mirase el hilo, deben de tener más que cerrado lo que entra. Y te diría que también para la 1.3 y 1.4. Lo importante es que están sacando actualizaciones relativamente rápido.

A cualquier diafragma la prufundidad de campo aumenta al distanciarte del modelo, sí.
A 10m usando una apertura f/1.2 con el 50mm tienes una profundidad de campo de 2,9m, te da igual enfocar el ojo que la cara entera.
