That being said, I recently received a copy of Great Output, the official publication of the Professional Digital Imaging Association. This was their August issue. In that issue they compare the Canon 19900, Epson Stylus Photo 2200, Epson Stylus Photo R1800, the Epson Stylus Photo R2400, the HP Designjet 30 and hP Photosmart 8750. It reads like a pretty fair comparison and the author clearly states his personal preference for the Epson Photo Stylus 2200. There were 8 rating categories and here are the results.
1. Best Color Saturation (HP 8750 won, Canon was second, HP Designjet 30 in third.)
2. Best Blues (Canon i9900 won, HP Designjet and 8750 tied for second and Epson R1800 and Epson R2200 tied for third.)
3. Best Reds (Canon 19900 won, HP Designjet second and Epson R1800, R2400 and HP 8750 tied for third.)
