El caso es que acabo de ver algo sobre el asunto en un foro de usuarios de Canon [

El hilo trata sobre el aparente apagado del IBIS de la R6 en cuanto se le pone un objetivo EF/EFS con su IS, aparente al menos porque el menú para activar o desactivar el IBIS desaparece en un caso así (no lo sé
seguro porque no tengo esa cámara). En uno de los post su autor pega el texto de un mensaje que ha recibido de Canon, ese mensaje es este:
"The IS Mode option will only show up in the menu when an lens with IS capability is not attached. If you want to reference the manual for that information it is in the caution note on page 238. The easiest way to see the option is to take the lens off, press the Menu button, go to the seventh page under the red camera icon, and when you go into IS (Image Stabilizer) Mode you will have the option shown on page 237. When you enable that setting the in body stabilization will work with any EF, EF-S, or RF lens that you attach to the camera. You do not need to re-enable it for each lens. Once it is on it stays on. "
En fin, que las opciones apagar/encender IBIS sí aparecen si le quitas a la cámara el objetivo EF/ES, y a partir de ahí la opción elegida queda "guardada" hasta que de nuevo hagas esta operación si quieres cambiarla. Se entiende que si has ajustado que Sí quieres IBIS, este funcionará con los objetivos EF/EFS que le pongas luego.

"From Canon engineer testing the EF lens do not cause the IBIS to be downgraded from 5-axis to 2-axis. In fact the camera's IS along with the lens IS work hand-in-hand when both are engaged."
O sea, que a partir de las pruebas realizadas sobre el funcionamiento de objetivos EF no se deduce que el IBIS baje su desempeño de 5 ejes a 2 ejes sino que el IBIS y el IS del objetivo EF colaboran cuando están juntos.
