In Poland we sometimes say "pffff" if you want to say something like "pffffff, what is this shit?"
I have seen your photos before you wrote in this topic. I like photos of football so I immediately turned my attention.
I use a Canon 6D like you. It may be slow, but it has great quality. Now I use a 300mm 2.8 L IS USM. In my opinion, if you have a 70-200, always use the 200mm. Then the players will be better isolated from the background. I always try to sit very low. If possible, I am sitting on the ground.Then the line of the horizon is low. It also improves the isolation of the players from the background.
